The View are to play HMV, Inverness as part of the promotion for new album ‘Ropework’.

The View have always made an impression when they have played the area, wether it was their literal tent breaking performance at Rockness 2012 or the surprise performance at Belladrum 2014 which saw them pair up with the Cairn String Quartet. The last time they played in Inverness was in March at the Ironworks.
With hits including Wasted Little DJ’s, The Don and of course Same Jeans garnered much attention, latest album Ropework was delayed in it’s initial June release date due to Kyle Falconer having an illness.
On talking about the new album to the NME, Kyle said; “I would say that this record has really taken us out of our comfort zone… I think it’s our most inventive album yet, we really opened ourselves up to creative possibilities and thankfully the vision paid off. We can’t wait to get out there and play it live”
It’s great to see HMV grabbing these opportunities and we do hark back to the time that they put music on instore more frequently, including sets as varied as Rachel Sermanni to Toby Michaels Rolling Damned.
The View will be playing and signing the new album on the 8th of September from 5.15pm. Further details available via the HMV website
