Identifying influences from Biffy Clyro to New Found Glory via Dananananaykroyd, the band were formed in 2010 borne ,their bio explains,  “through mutual boredom and discontent with a local music scene that had taken itself far too seriously”.Indeed when asked to  describe what your music is about and why people would enjoy it, they said; “Fun times, beefy riffs, slightly noticeable Scottish accents and fucking ridiculous song titles.”

‘Meshuggah We’re Going Down’ is the second of two Nick Scholey (Flood or Red and Lower Than Atlantis) produced EPs launched this year. Their earlier release ‘A Likely Story’ earned rave reviews including from More Than The Music who concluded that the Ep is “Proving that the pop punk scene is alive and kicking and has a lot more to offer than songs about friends, sucky ex-girlfriends and pizza”.

Picnic Nose Dive will be joined by Seed of Sorrow at the Eagle on the 21st of November.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
