Trosg have been gathering fans and acclaim over the last year with performances at Belladrum, Inverness Cathedral, and on BBC Radio nan Gaidheal, as well as regular gigs in Hootananny’s, and are unique in being the only artistes to do a Gaelic cover version of the bluegrass classic, I’ll Fly Away In The Morning.

They have asked the girls of Dorec-a-belle to perform several songs on their own and then both groups will come together for a joint harmony-fest on several Gaelic songs as well as Dorec-a-belle’s own.

The girls of Dorec-a-belle say they are thrilled and delighted to be invited to collaborate with Trosg, and excited at the thought of adding their trade-mark ‘Oohs and Aahs’ to the lads’ Gaelic songs, as well as the wonderful depth of rich sound that Trosg will bring to songs such as ‘Antonia’ and ‘Don’t Give Up’.

Keep track of Dorec-a-belle via their website.

Trosg joined by Dorec-a-belle will be performing in Madhatters this Friday 21st November.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
