The Leonard Jones Potential make a welcome return to the festival, having last headlined the Seedlings stage in 2011. Making a return from last year are High Life Fiddle Forte and The Elephant Session .

Camp Stag and Dingus Khan play the goNorth Seedlings Stage as part of the BBC Introducing Programme. Dingus Khan last played the area in April and will no doubt have the audience singing along to the deliciously macabre ‘Knifey Spooney’. The Seedling stage is further added to by purveyors of indie-pop Miniature Dinosaurs, Vic Galloway supported Birdhead and 15 piece fusion band Fat-Suit. Also play Seedlings are Inverness ‘Princes of Pop’,Furry Vengeance, no doubt they will convince supporters to “Be Furry”.

Final act to be announced on the bill is you. Bella fans also have a chance to star this year in ‘Bella’s Got Talent.’ Ticket-holders have been invited to submit videos of their acts to bellatalent@tartanheartfestval.co.uk. The best will be invited to perform on the Venus Flytrap Palais stage on Friday 2nd August and four finalists will go forward to a final in the same venue on the Saturday.

Organisers are looking for all kinds of talent including dance, comedy and novelty acts as well as music. “We know there is a wealth of talent out there in the Bella community. We wanted to give people a chance to show it off,” said festival promoter Joe Gibbs

The festival is of course sold out, you can keep track of our coverage of the festival and in particular read our recentinterview with main stage openers Be Like Pablo.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
