What would be your FFO list?
We are for fans of indie rock, especially Arctic Monkeys but we draw our biggest influence from The Beatles
Tell us a little about how the band came to be and a story so far.
One of our music teachers asked me (Billy) to get a band together to play at an open mic night she had organised. So I asked Charlie to join and then we got Robbie and Jamie onboard and we learnt “Get Back” by the Beatles and loved playing live and decided to try the whole band thing out.
Since then we’ve only went up and have played numerous support slots with signed artists up and down the country and we have played three packed hometown headline shows. We’ve released two EPs and two singles and have received excellent reviews
As an act, how has 2024 treated you so far?
2024 has been excellent, we started off the year with our first gig in Manchester which was very exciting for us and we managed to attract a big crowd too. We have done a lot of support gigs and just played our third headline show at Cafe Drummonds in Aberdeen at the beginning of June.
You have three original songs to wow the Belladrum audience, which ones would they be and why?
‘Don’t ask’, without blowing our own trumpets too much, it’s just a good song. It’s definitely our most out there song and is also our longest. ‘Paddling Pool’, this is a fan favourite and is the closing song on our sophomore EP. It’s got a very catchy upbeat hook and excellent variation in verses and choruses.
Festivals are renowned for horrible clashes, which act on the Belladrum line-up would you least like to clash with and why?
We would hate to clash with Ocean Colour Scene because that would mean we wouldn’t get to see them live.
What Is the draw to playing Belladrum?
This is all our first time going to and playing Belladrum. We’re very excited because it’s our first time playing at a festival.
Given the Love theme, if you had to create a love playlist with only five songs, what would be on it?
Here, There and Everywhere, Something, Love of My Life, Maybe I’m Amazed, God Only Knows
If you could travel back in time which Belladrum would you like to revisit?
2019. Purely for Elbow, Johnny Marr and The Coral
In your act’s repertoire, what is the most romantic song you have?
‘Snake Eyed Screw’
What’s on the horizon for you after Belladrum?
To say the least, probably a Glastonbury Headline slot
