Lyle Watt, he plays for Eddi Reader, Blue Rose Code, James Brown is Annie and supported Texas at Edinburgh Castle the other night.
Isaac Sutherland is well known as “the man that can play anything for anyone”.
Kevin Ronaldson the bass player is The Whiskys’ bass player’s older brother. He studied bass at the Musicians Institute London and played for Jumpin the Gunn.
Jack Macphee is possibly the best live drummer around and has played with loads of people including his sound and video productions he has done for Fatherson and Neon Waltz
On to the questions..
You have ten words to describe your act, no more no less…
Unrehearsed Sonically Connected Raw Emotional Passionate Fun Made In Scotland
As an act how how does it feel to be back post-COVID?
Palemoon was born through COVID, (which is still a thing) so glad to be able to play live
Given the myths and legends theme of Belladrum 2022, can you tell us a myth or legend of Palemoon?
KR…Having been inspired by many Legends, it’s the musical piers and friends for me, you know people talk about Led Zep and boleskine house and all of that, but it’s the Local legends and personal experiences that really matter (to Me at Least) because I met them! and they inspired me.
I met Isaac when we were both rock n roll kids playing live in the early 90’s, Isaac was this little fiery Kid playing the whole neck of what seemed like a huge bass with his dad, the legendary Johny Fats, everyone knew or knew of fats, there were stories told, myths heard but Fats was definitely a legend among us Highlanders.
Which legend (non-musical!) would you have appear on stage with you?
Isaac: David Attenborough
Jack: Darth Vader
Kevin: Billy Connolly
Lyle : Eric Clapton
There have been a few musical legends play Belladrum over the years which performance would you most like the opportunity to see again?
Isaac: Too busy working to see other acts
Jack: MiA
KR: Don’t know, i’ve never been .
Lyle: MiA
How are you preparing for your Belladrum performance?
Isaac: Thinking about writing a set list
Jack: Beating a set list out of Isaac
Kevin.. Waiting patiently for a set list
Lyle: Depping for every other Scottish Band
If your set only consisted of three songs and one extra cover, which ones would they be and why?
Isaac: Still waiting on a set list and I can take a beating
Jack: It Wasn’t Me by Shaggy
Kevin: Does anyone know whats next?
Lyle: Smoke on the Water, Sweet Caroline, Freebird and also Freebird. Which we wrote and are awaiting royalties.
