You have ten words to describe your act, no more no less…

A captivating Scottish Indie-Rock band to sweat out to!

As an act how how does it feel to be back post-COVID?

Better than ever man, we feel charged up and ready to tear stages apart again! Ready to bounce around on stage singing our songs to the best crowds in the world. After so long of being kept captive inside our homes we are ready to pounce back.

Given the myths and legends theme of Belladrum 2022, can you tell us a myth or legend of the band?

Legend has it there’s something in the air in the North Coast of Scotland that makes FTF and their fans so wild…

Which legend (non-musical!) would you have appear on stage with you and what song would you play with them?

John Travolta every day of the week… that man is a LEGEND! We would have to play something from Grease as its only fitting.

There have been a few musical legends play Belladrum over the years which performance would you most like the opportunity to see again?

Definitely, we have been attending Bella since we were kids and have seen an un holy amount of incredible acts but my favourites have to be The 1975, The Wombats, Razorlight, The Hunna, Madness and so many more.

How are you preparing for your Belladrum performance, what are your plans after you have played?

We are building a wild show for our first ever Belladrum appearance, we are bringing our A game and leaving no stone unturned! After our set we will be exploring the festival, mingling with fans and watching the other incredible acts.

If your set only consisted of three songs and one extra cover, which ones would they be and why?

I would definitely have to choose Small Town Syndrome, Bluetooth and Lepricon because they would give you the best taster of a Forgetting The Future gig. As for a cover song I would have to say Flathead by The Fratellis because you just cant beat the Fratellis.

And a wee bit of festival madness…

Who’d win a fight between Nessie and Godzilla?

Nessie for sure mate, he is well hard! And he’s a local too!

You’re out for a few drinks, what other artist that you know, would turn it in to a legendary night?

I’d have to say our good pal King Charles, we have hung out and played with those guys a few times but I’ve never had the pleasure of partying with them yet, and I’m sure that would be a wild one!

Is Nessie real?

Only if you really believe, kinda like the polar express.

What would you rather fight, a unicorn the size of Nessie or 20 unicorn sized Nessies?

20 unicorns the sized Nessy because that would be hilarious although I’d still get battered.

What is your favourite urban legend?

Kelpies for sure! Being surfers from the North of Scotland we love the idea of Kelpies, and I’ve seen them…

If you had to form a 4 piece band from legendary creatures what instrument would each play and why? Also what would you call the Mythical band?

Nessy on the drums because he’s an animal, Big Foot on the bass, Kelpie on the lead guitar and a centaur on the Vocals. And they would be called The Elastic band because I secretly want to call my own band that.

You can see Forgetting the Future at Belladrum 2022, performing at the The Hothouse Stage at 3:15pm on Thursday. All things Belladrum can be found on our Belladrum Festival Page.
