Dylan Tierney to play Strathpeffer Pavilion in October, 2021.
Following the announcement that rising star Calum Beattie was to play Strathpeffer, the support for the evening has been named as Dylan Tierney.
We caught up with the singer songwriter, who made the announcement on his Facebook page, and asked Dylan how he felt; “I am delighted! After not gigging for so long to bounce back with an announcement like that i was privileged to have been given the shout and the opportunity to go and show what I have got to bring to the table.”
Life through the pandemic, Dylan reflects, has had it’s benefits; “I thought that not having gigs as I regularly used to would affect me a lot but if anything it has made me sit and realise that when you get your head down and write new music it can help a lot without having to worry about playing gigs. It’s amazing how much lock down has made me concentrate more on the basics. The break of gigs has helped massively.”
With new tunes in the offing, Dylan adds; “I am currently in the studio working on new material of mine a fair few of the songs that I am recording are songs that I’ve wrote during the lockdown and the maturity of my music has come along massively my songwriting is far more intelligent.”
