Mark Forbes to release new track ‘You Aren’t Here Anymore’ in July, 2019.

Local musician Mark Forbes has announced the release of his debut single ahead of his Belladrum 2019 performance. With a passion for music fired up by Green Day’s “Good Riddance” and working with Marc Clement and Spring Break’s Ben Hesling, the single and forthcoming album, is the accumulation of hard work and commitment over the last few months.

‘You Aren’t Here Anymore’ has its origins in the loss of a close friend, but carries a message of hope to meet again in the future and shows the therapeutic nature of music and it’s value at difficult times.The single will be accompanied by a video, described as “a trip down memory lane with childhood memories”, which was filmed and edited by Alan Hercher

Reflecting on the process Mark commented;

“The single has had huge emotional ties to me , not only because it was my debut single, but as it is about the  loss of a friend and managing my feelings about it. To do this justice it meant that I had to push my boundaries and work really hard to make sure that I met the high quality of the group of people I worked with and put in a huge amount of effort to ensuring the vision of the track.”

‘You Aren’t Here Anymore’ is the lead single for the forthcoming album ‘Out of the Mustard Tin’.

Single will be released via normal digital platforms on the 25th of July and Mark Forbes can be seen live;

430pm til 5pm 1st August 2019 Belladrum Festival Hootananny Potting Shed Stage by Medicine Music
