We introduce you to The Media Whores and ask them a few question ahead of their gig at Mad Hatters in March, 2018.

Who are you ?

The Media Whores aka;
Craig A – vocals and guitar
Doogie Mackie – bass and vocals
Andy Russell – drums

What do you do ?

Post-punk and according to Vive le Rock magazine, ‘political power pop punk perfection’

For fans of…. ?

Reviews tend to refer to the Stranglers, Killing Joke, the Clash and Joy Division

Where are you going ?

We will be releasing a new album this year, following on from our Mercury Prize nominated last album, ‘Dangerous Minds’, and to continuing touring and playing live! We are fortunate enough to be on a record label with worldwide distribution, Twenty Stone Blatt, from Grangemouth, which is run by the brother of a Cocteau Twin!

Where can we catch you ?

We are up North this March;

23rd March, Nairn at the Bandstand Bar at Braeval
24th March – Inverness, Mad Hatters
21st April – Audio Glasgow with Balaam and the Angel
26th May at the Strummercamp Festival in Oldham

Anything else?

We are delighted to be playing in Inverness and Nairn and hope a few punters that will attend the Stranglers gig at the ironworks, will come along and see us! Having supported the likes of the Damned, Stiff Little Fingers, Ruts DC, Spear of Destiny and Theatre of Hate, as well as our own headline shows in Scotland and England, we hope theres enough tunes there for the discerning and knowledgeable music fans that follow this site to appreciate live, original music!
