Billy Ocean to play Inverness in June.

Following on from the announcement that LCC would be bringing The Proclaimers to Inverness Leisure, they have announced that Billy Ocean will also be playing the venue.

With 30 million albums sold to date, Trinidad’s Billy Ocean took inspiration from soul including Otis Redding and Sam Cooke and pop including the likes of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

Ocean’s first hit Love Really Hurts Without You started the ball rolling in 1976 and the hits kept coming including When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Gets GoingLove on Delivery and the Grammy winning Caribbean Queen.

On the announcement Ocean said;

“I love performing and sharing my hits with fans. I’ve never been to the Highlands of Scotland before, so please give me a warm welcome and come and join me for a night of great live music.”

Lauren Munro of LCC Live said “Billy Ocean enjoyed phenomenal success in the 1970s and 1980s and remains a popular artist today. So, come and join us on the 24th June and take a trip down memory lane, reminiscing and dancing to some truly iconic hits from over the years”.

Support for the night comes local legends Scooty and the Skyhooks.
