James Mackenzie and the Aquascene announce forthcoming “Winter” EP .

The end of March sees a return to his roots approach by James, with the release of an acoustic based EP by James’ first band The Aquascene.
James Mackenzie and The Aquascene was first formed in 2010, during which time they played numerous festivals including a main stage appearance at Rockness.
Of the reunion and the recordings James said; “I started recording some new more acoustic based demos with producer Chris Gorman in Glasgow which I then finished off with locally based musician/producer Iain McLaughlin whose band The Outsiders very much have an interwoven history with The Aquascene
it seemed like the perfect time to do a new James Mackenzie and The Aquascene release and some live shows.”
“Winter” will be physically released on Monday March 23rd with a digital release set for Monday March 30th.
The release will be accompanied by a short run of the following Highland dates:
Friday March 27th – The Drouthy Cobbler, Elgin
Saturday March 28th – Glen Mhor Hotel, Inverness
Sunday March 29th – Old Bridge Inn, Aviemore
Tickets for Elgin are available direct from the venue and tickets for Inverness are available from Eden Court Box Office with Aviemore being free entry.
