Raglans for Mad Hatters

Dublin based Raglans play Mad Hatters, Hootannay in March.

1604669_735467963131660_1138567181_nThe Raglans are described as an Irish indie-folk band and their debut, self titled, album was released in March 2014  which was produced by Jay Reynolds (Pulp, The Verve) and mixed by Brian Lucy (Arctic Monkeys, Black Keys). Whilst ‘Digging Holes’, the opening track on the album has stolen the most attention, the album is full of tunes worthy of the hype that has been piled on the band.

They have supported the Strypes whilst also finding themselves on the same bill as The Libertines when they played Hyde Park.

“We play hard”, identifies their Facebook page description but considering that by March the Raglans will have already commenced a UK tour whilst chucking in dates in the Netherlands and Australia, they work damn hard as well.

Raglans play Mad Hatters on the 18th of March, tickets available on-line.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
