Scottish music legend Midge Ure kicks off his UK tour with an intimate show at the Ironworks on March 18th.
Probably best known for worldwide success with his band Ultravox mainly in the 1980’s with massive hits like ‘Vienna’, Midge has also played with Slik, The Rich Kids, Thin Lizzy and Visage.

Most recently he has reprised a role that he famously took up first in 1984 with Sir Bob Geldof. The huge charity single ‘Do They Know Its Christmas’ by Band Aid has currently hit number one again with the latest popstars of the current era.
He will be touring as an acoustic three piece recreating his ‘Breathe’ album, which was released 20 years ago as well as performing many of his well-known hits from various eras.
Midge said: “I’m looking forward to starting the ‘Breathe Again’ tour in Inverness and marking 20 years since I last toured the UK as an acoustic three piece.
“I’m delighted to be joined on the tour by Cole Stacey and Joseph O’Keefe of India Electric Co. They were a support act at one of my solo shows in 2011, and their wide range of musical textures will complement the ‘Breathe’ album with all its acoustic textures and nuances. We’ll also be giving the usual suspects a make-over. I’m really looking forward to it!”
For a man that has not only won a Grammy and an Ivor Novello, he also has nearly 40 years worth of massive songs that most of us can relate memories to and sometime in our lives.
Tickets are available to purchase from Ticketline , or from Ironworks’ Box Office.
