Identified as one of the rising stars on the Scottish jazz scene,lead singer  Cathie Rae is the eldest sibling of the musically renowned Rae family. Indeed The Herald observed “The senior sibling of the Rae family’s jazz sextet may have been the last to enter the swing business but she’s making up for lost time”. Cathie identifies Ian Rankin as on of her high profile fans, whilst also gaining plaudits from her peers such as Sheila Jordan, Christine Tobin and Liane Carroll.

In Cat’s Club, Cathie is joined by multi award winning jazz pianist Paul Harrison, the well established and experienced guitarist Mario Caribe and fellow guitarist Graeme Stephenson who is described as “one of the most adventurous musicians on the Scottish jazz scene”

The band released Cathie’s fourth album, ‘Lucky’ in 2013 earning praise for it’s ability to gather various jazz styles together and for the band’s technical ability; ““Readily accessible music with songs that draw on a variety of jazz styles and settings from ballads to big hard-driving swingers, boosted by a first class band full of invention and know-how.”
