The Greenhouse Community Interest Company asked for support and the community responded.
Rob Ellen put out a call to local acts and they replied. Kicking off at 7.30 the three stages were full for the rest of the evening as they played host to a diverse variety of styles and genres. Most of those who gave up their time for free (and in fact put their own money into the fund) were familiar faces, but the open mic stage in particular welcomed some new talent to the local scene.
The atmosphere was fabulous, there were impromptu jams and unlikely collaborations and as befits the St Valentine’s Day Massacre theme a few songs were duly murdered – bit it was all good.
This really was The Greenhouse at its best and testimony to its place in and importance to the local community – fingers crossed for a positive outcome and to many more great evenings like this. Well deserved round of applause to everyone who put in an appearance last night.
