Formed in 2007 by singer-songwriter, Mike Kearney with intention of ” bringing The Jazz Bar to the rest of Scotland.” In doing so, the band dubbed “Something of a funk colossus” by the Edinburgh Evening News, have played over five hundred gigs.

Kearney describes an uncomplicated strategy “What we do is simple. We play really tight. We play really hard. We play for as long as we want and we don’t let up. We’re there for one reason. So that everyone can have a great night.”

The 8 piece band will be a sight to see and a noise to hear, crammed onto the stage at Mad Hatters. With their new EP available imminent, The Katet are sure to be at their best, and shouldn’t be missed.
