It’s fair to say Louis has “previous” given that he was announced on the bill last year as one half of  Count Clockwork. He his now building up momentum under the guise of new project Lucky Cub which has seen him gain support from BBC’s Ally Macrae and Vic Galloway. So when we asked asked Louis to give us his perspective as to who would end up on the Rockness billin,g he was very keen to give us his perspective….

Disclosure

After their success in 2012, Disclosure have gone from strength to strength and are currently one of the names on almost everyone’s lips. They recently revealed that their debut album would be set for release in March and that they are in the process of sorting out a potentially long summer tour.

Them & Us

Mark and Liam have really gone for it in the past year and have shown us that they aren’t messing around. Their recent EP release has gained them great exposure and they have a bunch of big things lined up for the rest of the year – I can see them getting this slot and feel they would work perfectly for the diverse crowds of Rockness.

TNGHT

When Hud Mo and Lunice teamed up to reveal TNGHT, the world went crazy. They have been storming the scene ever since and are super busy at the moment, however, the duo have recently announced UK dates for May and with Rockness weekend currently open, it looks promising.

Major Lazer

Diplo recently announced that the new album would be released in Feb this would suggest that a headline tour will follow, could they reach Scotland for summer time?

Polymath

I am a bit of a Polymath fangirl so it comes as no surprise that I’m expecting to see him on this years line up, he is one of the only producers around here that really delivers originality in his work. After watching him close when we both supported Annie Mac I was speechless, he brings an edge to it like no one else and his own tracks work better live than most, he is truly pushing the scene forward and in my opinion should be given a highly respectable slot on the lineup.

Boys Noize LIVE

After the major success of new live show and his recent UK tour this is highly plausable, Boys Noize has played Rockness many times and always kills it, each year he seems to slowly crawl up the line-up and two years ago he finally hit the top as he headlined the main tent – does this mean we may see him on the main stage? Who knows…

Soundclash

Soundclash have been running the circuit for sometime but it was only really the end of last year that they really pushed themselves into the spotlight, they are constantly helping new talent and holding great live events. I can see them on the line-up for sure.

Hot Creations

This is an obvious pick, with 2012 being a year dominated by their team (Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Richy Ahmed) with Hot Natured – Benediction even showing face in the UK top 40. Could the Hot Creations presents setup be heading to Rockness? Recent indications suggest this is likely with the  announcement of Hot Natured new LIVE show  for the  UK in April and a string of dates in Europe the weekends around Rockness weekend. They truly are leading the deep house rise at the moment and would be a wonderfully refreshing addition.

Green Velvet / Cajmere

2013 marks the year of the 20th anniversary of Green Velvet & Relief Records. Apparently the agency that he is signed to are looking to fill key festival slots over the summer.
