Rockness in association with Sound City are on the hunt for 20 bands/acts to play the at the Rockness Sound City Stage at the festival, with one of these acts also being chosen to return to perform at RockNess 2012 in the Goldenvoice Arena (this is the first time we have heard talk of Rockness 2012).

A similar competition is also being run for DJ’s although, it will be public vote and then a live performance which will determine whether you will a place on the bill at Rockness. Full details here.
Just a little comment…. with the exception of James Mackenzie and the Aquascene (well done guys by the way!) we have heard no word of any local acts playing Rockness this year, which given that GoNorth are not there this year is a bit of disheartening. We are however hoping (cross our fingers and all that), that the organisers take the opportunity to pick some of the local club and live acts for the bill.
