Ticket day!!!
Earlier this month, the price of early bird tickets were revealed by the Rockness Organisers. At £99, for a three day with camping ticket it marked it marked a fantastic deal (with opportunity to split payments detailed on the website). There is no word as to how many tickets will be at this price, so invernessGiGs suggestion would be to get in quick.
Speculation on the headliner continues, and we at invernessGiGs, don’t want to miss out!! So whilst I suspect that an announcement is not far off, we suspect that the two hot favourites are Faithless (especially after their fantastic festival pedigree) and Daft Punk (the appearance at Rockness has to be one of the Rockness moments of all time) a return to Rockness is inevitable but the question is, is the time now??
It is slightly more difficult to anticipate the headliners for the Sunday night, of course having both of the above bands might be possible, but it breaks with convention a little. invernessGiGs is keeping a close eye on the Isle of Wight announcements, given the previous crossovers especially with the bigger acts. However Biffy Clyro show no sign of slowing down especially after the announcement that they would be supporting The Foo Fighters (no chance of the Foos, headlining either their own Scottish gigs or of course T in the park) next summer. invernessGiGs loves the idea of Biffy getting the headline slot at Rockness, that maybe many thought they were going to get a two years ago.
Other acts that get a mention include Moby (does anybody else remember the headline slot at Glastonbury), Coldplay, Primal Scream and er Kings of Leon.
I think we have two of the headliners in the above article……
