New video for Edgar Road

Edgar Road have released theĀ video for “Sun’s In The Sky”.

Mark Conti fronts the Elgin based, five piece who boast an alternative rock soundĀ with melodic pop elements. Summer has seen them play of Belladrum and Jocktoberfest,Ā featuring on theĀ Scottish new music chart in October and even managing to squeeze in recording their new EP atĀ Chairworks Studio which wasĀ mixed and produced by David Watts.

The band’s latest video , for ‘Sun’s In The Sky’,Ā retro styling is unsurprising given that it was filmed on a 35mm camera on the back of a motorcycle in the late Seventies. The video is given added poignancy as it was filmed by guitaristĀ Simon Watterson’sĀ late father and the the bassist’s (Mike Byiers)Ā late cousin Andrew Slowey. Simon posted “IĀ wish more than anything [his father] was here to see the band, he would have been in his glory for sure”.

Edgar Road have a couple of significant gigs coming soon as they will be playing as part ofĀ Ā the live audition gig finals of the Soundwave music competition atĀ Abc O2 Academy GlasgowĀ on the 14th of January. FollowingĀ that the band will also be celebrating the release ofĀ their second EP ‘Looking Glass’ on the 4th of FebruaryĀ with a gig at The Grant Hall Rothes.

You can keep track of Edgar RoadĀ via their Facebook page, and ticket details for both gigs above are available here.
