Elvana to play the Ironworks, Inverness in May 2016.
The question “What if?” leads to infinite possibilities that sometimes requires little consideration, and other times they are certainly worth your time. So, what if we combined two music icons into one tribute laiden mash-up? and what if those icons were Elvis and Nirvana? We suspect that you would get something like, or in this case you would get, Elvana.
The four piece are elegantly fronted by the charismatic “Elvis āThe King of Tourettesā Presley” and joined by Captain Doom and The Bray Bros. Gaining praise from LA’s Mac Sabbath; “theyāre as awesome as they sound.” The show has also been recommended by Nirvana die-hards, recommendation indeed.
Not without it’s humour, given the premise how could you not have a laugh?; “It smells like cheeseburgers and teen spirit, daddy-o!” boasts the band’s promo.
In a world where tribute bands have such a role in the music scene, what if one such band creates such an intriguing proposition that it is worthy of your investigation.
Rock & Roll and Grunge will be well represented in the support with the zany solo performance from Toby Michaels and the grunge influenced sounds of The Little Mill of Happiness.
Elvana to play the Ironworks, with support on the 27th of May. Tickets available on line now.
