2 Many’ at The Ironworks

2 Many DJ’s take to the stage at The Ironworks on themany 15th of February.

It’s been about 10 years since we’ve had some original material from Belgium’s finest electronic exports, Soulwax, but that’s probably down to the ongoing success of members Stephen & David Dewaele’s alter ego, 2 Many DJ’s.

2 Many DJ’s have now been touring and mixing for the last decade or so, ever since the explosion of “As heard on Radio Soulwax Pt.2” which became one of the most popular and talked about mix CD’s of the last decade.

“As heard on Radio Soulwax Pt.2” was probably one of the first examples of a genre bending mixtape being exposed to the mainstream, back in the early 2000’s. Tracks like Vitalic’s “La Rock” included in the same track-list as Dolly Parton’s “9-5” is just one example of what range there was on that mix.

Their live DJ sets are something special too, incorporating visuals of cover sleeves from whatever track they are playing. To get an idea of what I mean, check out this video from their ‘Under The Covers’ series.

Supporting 2 Many DJ’s on the night will be Inverness lads Abraham Thunderwolf and Ally Ridgers. The guys who have helped make this night possible, ‘Let It Bleed’ will also be represented on the night by their resident Giles Walker.

Ever since this night was announced there has been a lot of hype about 2 Many DJ’s coming to town, so expect this to sell out very soon or on the night, my advice is to get your tickets right away if you haven’t already got them, from either The Ironworks box office or through Ticketmaster.
