The Gathering Festival is thrilled to announce that the powerhouse Scottish band Skipinnish will headline the event on Saturday, 24th May 2025.
Emerging from the heart of the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Skipinnish has flourished into an iconic name in the Celtic music scene, captivating audiences with their potent blend of traditional and modern sounds.
Skipinnish joins The Gathering on the back of a monumental year, celebrating their 25th anniversary with their two biggest ever shows. The first was a spectacular Highland homecoming in Inverness, and the second saw them entertaining an audience of 8,000 set against the iconic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle.
Joining Skipinnish on stage next year are the world-renowned pipe band Red Hot Chilli Pipers, the honorary house band Torridon, award-winning modern trad band Kinnaris Quintet, local accordionist and artist Calum MacPhail, folk-singer, songwriter, and ukulele player Claire Hastings, and The City of Inverness Youth Pipe Band.

Following a brief excursion to Bught Park for 2024, The Gathering returns to its original venue, The Northern Meeting Park, for 2025 with the Park’s revamp promising a fantastic setting for the festival. More acts to be announced over the forthcoming months.
