The inaugural Black Isle Calling Festival announces its eclectic lineup. Hosted at the Black Isle Brewery, this event promises to be a celebration of music, culture, and community against the stunning backdrop of the Highlands.

Headlining the festivities on Friday night is none other than the legendary Huey Morgan of Fun Lovin’ Criminals fame. With a repertoire spanning classics like “Scooby Snacks” to newer hits, Morgan’s performance guarantees a night of funk, soul, and hip-hop that will have the crowd dancing into the wee hours.

Saturday sees the Elephant Sessions topping the bill bringing their unique blend of indie-folk to close out the festival. With a string of awards and a reputation for electrifying live performances, Elephant Sessions are sure to provide a memorable finale to the event which they have worked with the Ironworks and Black Isle Brewery to create.

The lineup is packed with talent, including the mesmerizing musical project Beluga Lagoon, rap-rock trio The LaFontaines, and trad-electronic sensation Valtos. Glasgow’s soulful Lizzie Reid, six-piece funk ensemble, Bohemian Monk Machine and the local indie / electronic sounds The Joshua Hotel. Also on the bill are Lusa, Forgetting the Future, Low Light Listening Lounge, Keir Gibson, No Windows, and Feis Rois Ceilidh Trail.

Further news on the line-up of local DJs will be announced in the build up to the festivals, so to the showcase of craft Scottish food and drink suppliers.
