Rollercoaster by The Chosen Lonely released on the 6th of October.

The track is a journey through the past by Inverness native, The Chosen Lonely. As one of his earliest creations it vividly recounts the twists and turns of a teenage romance that left an enduring mark at just 16 years old.

The song kicks off with a slightly menacing intro reminiscent of The Stone Roses but swiftly shifts gears, venturing into a more lively and spirited direction.

Indeed Rollercoaster’’s buoyant vibe is underscored by its nostalgic indie rock aspirations. This is echoed by the Tik Tok friendly chorus, featuring ‘You and me are riding faster than a rollercoaster,’ igniting an irresistible sing-along atmosphere.

The track was mastered by Ed Woods, a seasoned audio engineer celebrated for his work with distinguished artists such as The Who, The Proclaimers, Idlewild, and The Sherlocks. Though ‘Rollercoaster’ clocks in at a robust 4 minutes and 15 seconds, a trimmed-down rendition might have enhanced its impact.

A lively and vibrant indie rock banger with an irresistible pop-infused punch.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The track is on streaming sites from the 6th October and can also be purchased as part of a limited edition cassette EP via his website.
