Scottish celtic-rock group Skerryvore is coming to Inverness this December! LCC Live, organizers of Live in the City, will be bringing the band to the Inverness Leisure Centre on Friday 8th December, kicking off a weekend of live music ahead of the festive season.

With a mix of bagpipes, fiddles, accordions, and whistles, alongside guitar and vocals, underpinned by driving bass, drums and keys, Skerryvore represents the best in contemporary Scottish traditional music. Their latest studio album Tempus is due for release on April 28th, 2023 and has already been making waves in the UK music scene with the first three single releases consecutively featuring on the BBC Radio 2 new music playlist.

Skerryvore has come a long way since being founded in 2005 on the island of Tiree. The band has played to festival crowds in the USA, Canada, Australia, and throughout the UK and Europe.

The group will be joined by special guest Cammy Barnes, who has had multiple singles reach the UK Top 20 chart and number 1’s on the Singer/Songwriter iTunes Chart, and more recently Country too.

Craig Elspie from the band expressed excitement about the Inverness show and added, “Tempus has been a long time in the making, and we can’t wait to start sharing the new music with audiences on the tour.” Caitlin Brown of LCC Live echoed the enthusiasm; “We couldn’t think of any better way to commence our festive weekend of live music than with the impeccable trad sounds of Skerryvore!”
