Inverness festival Monsterfest announce plans for 2023 and beyond.
After a successful 2022 festival, Monsterfest is returning to Eden Court this year introducing a “Wee Monster” event featuring incredible acts making their debut appearance in the Highlands.
First acts announced for 2023 are Anchor Lane known for their dynamic live shows and hard-hitting, melodic rock sound.and Kit Trigg, formed in a Farnham garage and drawing inspiration from Blues, 1970s LA punk, Palm Desert stoner, and heavy rock to shape their unique sound.
The abridged festival will be held on the 4th of November, however the Wee Monster will be complimented by city wide events showcasing local acts in the build up to the main event Previous local acts involved in the festival include Lucille, Lional, Spoke Too Soon, Bad Actress and Forgetting the Future

We caught uo with the organiser in 2022, where Mark was keen to emphasise the festival’s remit;
“we are not a Rock and metal festival. Rock yes, but Rock covers everything from Coldplay to Metallica… There sometimes seems to be confusion over the name, but we take our name from our favourite resident Nessie, it’s nothing to do with metal music.”
