The LaFontaines are to play Strathpeffer Pavilion in November.
With the Pavilion already announced Calum Beattie and Toploader for Autumn, the Hip-Hop / Rock trio debuts at the venue.
Having never abandoned the loyal support of their Highland fans, they have chosen the pavilion as the exclusive warm up show before their delayed headline concert at Glasgow’s o2 Academy. The LaFontaines last visit up north was as support for the Kaiser Chiefs in 2019 at the Royal Northern Meeting Park although it is hard to find a venue or a festival they have not played in the area.
With a couple of albums, Class and more recently Junior, under their belts, it is fair to say it is their live performances where they truly excel with their memorably catchy tunes orchestrated by charismatic Okan.
Chair for Strathpeffer Pavilion Commuinty Trust Fraser Mackenzie said “We are delighted The LaFontaines are coming to the Strath and bringing their fantastic live show” before continuing “our ongoing goal is to establish the Pavilion as the go to venue in the North of Scotland and the Highland”.
The LaFontaines will no doubt have the pavilion dance floor bouncing however it might be a bit too soon to get a rendition of ‘Scotland, Bonnie Scotland’, but with The LaFontaines who knows…
