Hò-rò to play Inverness in November, 2019.

Hò-rò are no strangers to headlining the Ironworks, the last time selling out the venue in November 2018. Whilst staying true to their Scottish Trad roots, Hò-rò draw on their own experiences and influences to create a fresh and contemporary sound.

The band explain;

“We love to get the audience singing and dancing along! By contrasting gentle, atmospheric melodies on whistles and vocals with charging jigs and reels lead by the pipes and accordion and backed by solid, rhythmical guitar, piano and drums, we believe that our music reflects the rich traditional culture of the Gàidhealtachd while also being representative of the lively and forward-looking Highland music scene.”

Their brand of energetic tune arrangements and vibrant stage presence has seen the tenacious 5 piece earn awards at Celtic Connections and the Hebridean Celtic Festival in 2014 as well as seeing the band collect an impressive amount of festival performances.

Hò-rò is the first band in our memories to have booked two consecutive nights at the Ironworks. The nights will have different supports with Friday seeing Cuig and Project Smok, Saturday will have Michael Cassidy and Trail West playing.

Hò-rò’s guitarist Sean Cousins said:

For the last two years we have had unforgettable gigs at Ironworks and we’re over the moon that we get to do it not once, but twice this year. The response in Inverness always blows us away – there’s nothing quite like a home-town gig and we feel really lucky to have grown this show into back-to-back performances for 2019

Hò-rò play Ironworks, Inverness on Friday 1stand Saturday 2ndNovember, 2019.
