LCC Live presents Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds with support from Razorlight and Neon Waltz as they play Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 8th June.
The legendary Noel Gallagher and his band, High Flying Birds, will perform an outdoor show at Bught Park on Saturday 8th June 2019, as part of the ‘Live in the City’ series of summer music concerts in Inverness.
2018 was a successful year for Noel, who landed a Mercury Prize nomination for the High Flying Birds’ album Who Built The Moon? the band’s third number one in a row. They also toured extensively across North America, Europe and Asia with Noel picking up the Best Album and Solo Artist accolades at the Q Awards.
Carlie Davidson of LCC Live, said: “Noel is a legend of the music industry who, along with his band, will take to the stage and deliver an array of classic songs from his career including recent hits Holy Mountain and It’s A Beautiful World.
“We’re absolutely delighted to be organising his only Scottish outdoor show in 2019 at our fantastic arena in Bught Park. It will be a great night and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, is a superb addition to our eclectic series of live concerts this summer.”
Support will be provided by Razorlight who are formed around singer/guitarist Johnny Borrell. Their debut album, Up All Night perfectly captured the incendiary energy of the squat parties and sweatbox venues of that original East London scene. It also carried a couple of break-through, era defining hits, including Golden Touch and Somewhere Else.
With their self-titled follow-up, Razorlight made the leap onto the international stage. Lead single, In The Morning, reached number three in the UK, and Americawent straight to number one. The band headlined festivals and toured the world. A third album, Slipway Fires provided top-ten singles across the UK and Europe.
Local favourites Neon Waltz have been referred to as Scotland’s coolest new gang” (NME). Regular gig-goers in the Highlands will no doubt be familiar and they impressed at their recent gig in Inverness with our reviewer describing them as having “perfect harmonies and entrancing lyrics creating a journey through emotion’.
Signed to Ignition Records, singles include the sky-scraping perfection of Dreamers and Perfect Frame. Extensive touring, including support dates with The Coral and Noel Gallagher, have honed the band’s live sound and drawn out a sense of visible self-assurance and stage craft in the erudite six-piece.
