The music line-up for XpoNorth 2018 has been announced.

It’s coming to that time of year when the north’s biggest creative arts festival takes over the highland capital for a couple of days. A festival that has industry experts passing on their knowledge, designers showcasing their latest collections, programmers unveiling the latest developments in game design, to over 60 bands playing for free over two nights. XpoNorth really is a experience for all to enjoy, taking place over the 27th & 28th of June, in Eden Court during the day and multiple venues around the city centre at night.

With 67 acts playing over two nights and all for free, its a brilliant time to go and listen to some of your favourite up and coming artists or to find some new ones. With a plethora of musical talent from all across Scotland, as well as some from Denmark, Sweden and Belgium, you are bound to find something floats your boat. There is also the added incentive that a good performance here could mean an appearance on the Seedlings Stage at Belladrum festival this August

There has been a strong selection of local artists selected including Spring Break, Bloodlines, Carma, Lional, Silver Coast, Lilura, Tamzene, Be Like Pablo all returning to the Xpo event. Debutantes from the local area this year include Cobalt, Gordon James & the Power and The Dazed Digital Age.

Others from across Scotland performing across the two nights will be 100 Fables, Annie Booth, Dancing on Tables, Emme Woods, North Atlas, Retro Video Club, The Dunts and Vistas to name but a few. Its going to be an eventful couple of nights running around the city centre, from venue to venue, catching the next big thing or an unknown, who’s ready to blow you away.

I have been in to music from the age of five with AC/DC being the most influential, so much in fact that I went to Perth Australia in 2016 to see them. I host The Future Starts Here on www.northhighlandradio.co.uk every Sunday 12 - 2pm playing the best new acts from across Scotland and beyond. I am a bit of a comic book and film geek but don't hold that against me.
