SINGLE REVIEW – Raintown

Written by Olga Bogdanova

Raintown release Run with the night.

If there is one thing I’ve learned is that we don’t need to look far for the great local musicians. If you are a fan of a country sound or just the quality music you will certainly be as excited as I was country duo Raintown from Glasgow will release of single “Run with the night”.

As soon as I heard the first chords and the first verse hit my ears I got the feeling of it being “Ride fast in a car with the windows rolled down!” kind-of song. It is certainly getting released at the right time for the spring/summer period so we can dance to it on a beach or over family BBQ get together! You like the catchy chorus? Well…”Raintown” will most definitely provide you with that! If I am asked to describe you their sound or compare with one band I without hesitation say: Scottish version of “The Shires”!

High, clean female vocals of Claire Mcarthur-Baine and Paul Baine’s  deep, soft male vocals create a beautiful harmonies and  staying lyrically relatable and real they will make you fall in love with the sound of their songs.

If you are already a fan of a band or have loved their single and interested to see them live, you’ll be delighted to know that they have a special tour around UK/Scotland.

Rain Town play Ironworks on the 20th of April, ticket details and other dates on the tour can be found here.
