Avenue Q for Inverness dates

Avenue Q for Spectrum Centre in February.

Avenue Q comes to Inverness from the team behind Edinburgh fringe productions of American Idiot and Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Fresh from the success of Outreach Inverness’s first production, American Idiot, last year in Ironworks, the group return with a host of returning and fresh faces to present the Tony Award winning best musical, Avenue Q.

Avenue Q is sesame street meets Family guy, creating the ultimate adult night out. It is truly an experience to hear puppets saying the words and singing the songs they do in this show.

Avenue Q follow Princeton as he moves to the affordable ‘Avenue Q’ and searches for his purpose having graduated from University with a B.A in English. The characters he encounter on the street keep him going, from neighbours Rod and Nicky in their progressive friendships, Trekkie Monster (a porn crazed sex addict), Kate Monster (an attractive young puppet that lives next door) and of course their land lord Gary Colman… Yes that one…

Outreach Inverness form in 2016 with the goal of offering young performers and the young of heart the opportunity to perform in more modern, taboo and even controversial shows. The outreach programme is run by Car Crash Productions, a emerging theatre company running productions all over the UK.

Outreach Inverness presents Avenue Q at The Spectrum Centre, Inverness from the 15th – 17th of February 2018 beginning at 7.30pm each night, with doors at 7pm.

Tickets are £12/£10 and can be bought from TicketSource.
