Silver Coast are to support Feeder at the Barrowlands in March.

Following the announcement that Silver Coast will be playing the O2 ABC Glasgow, as part of the SoundWaves Music Competition on the 10th of February, they return to the city in March to support Feeder.Feeder are playing a sold out gig at The Barrowlands in March as part of their “Best Of” 8-date tour to celebrate their 21st year as a band.

Followers of Silver Coast will know that they are proud of the influence that Feeder has had on their sound and development as a band. We caught up with Aaron to ask how it feels to be supporting Feeder; “We are still completely in awe! When we got the news that it was confirmed we all went crazy for about 10 minutes and then we couldn’t work out whether it was all a dream or not but to be honest it’s just not sunk in properly yet, after all it’s something that none of us would have ever thought would have happened to our wee band from Inverness!”

The opportunity came about in a fairly traditional way, Aaron explained; “I messaged Grant direct and he replied asking for links to music for him to forward to the relevant people. I was surprised to say the least that an unsolicited message had gotten such a cool response but then some time past and we received a much cooler message from Grant stating there were a lot of acts wanting the slot but he had pushed for us to get it!”.

It is perhaps unsurprising that that the support from one of Aaron’s idols was hard to digest, Aaron added “As you can imagine we were all gobsmacked at this “Feeder..want..us..to..support..them..” this is the sentence still playing on our minds haha”.

Silver Coast promise to follow up this stunning announcement with further news, keep an eye on their Facebook page to keep up to date with them.
