Model Aeroplanes to play Tooth & Claw in November.
The four piece from Dundee formed in 2013 although they met in school, their brand of Indie-pop have drawn comparisons to Vampire Weekend and Bombay Bicycle Club. The band’s journey has been an impressive one with them signing to Island Records in 2015 with last year’s EP Something Like Heaven being the first release for them under the label.
Whilst “Crazy” drew early attention, the band are keen to test audiences reaction to newer tracks including “Better with You”, “Not the Words You Want” and “I Don’t Mind”. With prestigious support slots including The View, Fatherson and Twin Atlantic they have also played a vast range of festivals from Belladrum to T in the Park via Carnival Fifty Six.
In an interview with Gig Slutz earlier in the year the band promised “More releases, more touring, more sick interviews and more cowbell.” True to their word you can check out new single “Fever” which Indie Central Music described as having “restless melodies with euphoric sounds creating an electric and entrancing atmosphere which leaves listeners yearning for more”.
