Young Fathers head up new additions on the line-up for Tartan Heart Festival
Scottish Mercury Prize winning lo-fi R&B trio YOUNG FATHERS together with the alternative rock band DEAF HAVANA and big beat techno rockers DUB PISTOLS have joined the line-up of Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.
The Young Fathers are of course no strangers to Belladrum and since their previous appearance have supported Massive Attack on tour as well as having a track featured on the Trainspotting 2 soundtrack. Deaf Havana will be playing off the back of releasing their latest album, the critically well received ‘All These Countless Nights’ in January. The band will no doubt be in good form after recording their highest UK album chart position to date (5). Reading their biog the Dub Pistols sound like a bunch of blokes who are old enough to know better but clearly couldn’t give a damn what anyone else thinks. With the focus seemingly being on bringing big beats and a party atmosphere to every gig they do they should be perfect for Belladrum.
Further bookings for Bella include: The Sherlocks; Saint Phnx; JR Green; O’Connell & Love; Mr Tea & The Minions; Jericho Hill; The MacGills; Morever; The Boy With The Lion Head; November Lights; Big Fish Little Fish; Inverness Military Wives; and Headphone Disco. This along with headliners The Pretenders and Franz Ferdinand, beefs up an already fairly hefty lineup for the Highland festival.
Anyone wishing to see main stage acts on the Thursday of the festival will need a three day ticket. The Thursday line-up includes: Sister Sledge, Feeder, Louis Berry, Scooty & The Skyhooks and Torridon. Saturday day tickets are already sold out as are campervan/caravan tickets. Hook-up tickets are still available to campervan/caravan ticket holders. There will be a resale of sold-out ticket categories via the tickets page on the Bella web site on Thursday 8th June at 10am when returned tickets will be made available on a first come first served basis.
Thursday car parks and camping areas will be open from 0800 again after this year’s successful effort to encourage patrons to arrive in a steadier flow throughout the day to reduce traffic congestion. Arenas will open from 1300 on the Thursday. When buying tickets on-line with Skiddle, Bella patrons are being given an opportunity to contribute to the Archie Foundation.
