Texas to play Inverness in September.
After previously playing the sports centre as part of “The Conversation” in 2013 (see the review here), Sharlene Spiteri an co return top the venue for 2017.
Nearing thirty years in the business, the band’s most recent album ‘The Conversation’ was their first for the band in eight years and was described as “a perfect marriage of Hawley’s 50s rock’n’roll frills and the timeless Texas magnetism to cast-iron melodies”. 2017 will see new album Jump On Board released on the 21st of April.
So without doubt the band will be playing their classic hits including “”I Don’t Want a Lover”, “Halo” and “Say what you Want”. Their response from the audience at Belladrum 2011 and of course their last Inverness appearance, shows there is a clear apetite for the band in the Highlands. They play Inverness as part of a 21 date UK tour.
The gig is part of a series of events promoted by LCC Events that will be held in Inverness in 2017 that see Olly Murs, Beach Boys, Bryan Adams and more visit the Highlands.
Texas will play Inverness Leisure Centre on the 25th of September, 2017.
Tickets details to be confirmed.
