Hafdis Huld to play Inverness in April.
Identified as one of Iceland’s most loved singers, with her brand of homespun folksy pop she is described as having a voice as pure as melt water and a razor-sharp wit to match any comedian, her shows are as memorable as the northern lights.
The former GusGus member has earned the admiration of the likes of Mark Radcliffe, Phil Jupitus and Lauren Laverne. In the UK festivals she has played festivals including Glastonbury, The Secret Garden Festival, The Big Chill and Camden Crawl whilst also supporting Mika and Paolo Nutini.
With the final elements her new album almost recorded (the LP is promised for 2017) it is anticipated that it will follow on from the success of previous releases Dirty Paper Cup, Home and Synchronised Swimmers.
