Franz Ferdinand and more announced for Belladrum 2017

Franz Ferdinand will be headlining Saturday night at Belladrum 2017.

It seems surprising that the multi- award winning Franz Ferdinand will be making their Tartan Heart debut on the Garden stage. The Glasgow band were formed in 2002 and went on to have a series of hits thriving on a “guitar-driven, post-punk revival sound”, including ‘Take Me Out’, ‘Matinee’ and ‘Do You Want To’.

Preceeding Franz Ferdinand on the Garden stage will be KT Tunstall who has recently completed her Highland and Island tour, despite the “tambourine incident” which received a significant amount of press attention. Her last Ironworks gig went down a storm so we have no doubt that she will set the stage well for the headliners.

Sister Sledge has already been announced for the festival as headliners for the Thursday night.

“ This is the first time Franz Ferdinand has played Bella and we are totally delighted to welcome them to our stage,” said promoter Joe Gibbs. “I couldn’t think of a better act to close out the festival. And we are thrilled to be welcoming KT back. She played Bella before as an unannounced special guest but we are pleased to have properly on the bill this time.”

Tickets for the festival to be held on August 3rd – 5th August are available now, and will be moving fast, get them here.
