Full Line-up Announced for Jocktoberfest 2016

The Black Isle based festival reveals the full bill for 2016.

The line-up .which will again stretch over the two stages at the brewery, features a mix of styles and acts from the locality and a bit further afar. Headlining on Friday will be Ā the “urban indie punk” ofĀ Jamie & ShoonyĀ (check out their impressive slot at Part at the Palace 2015), on Saturday it isĀ Esperanza and Shaka Loves You sharing the headlining duties.

Also on the bill we have theĀ acoustic pleasure of singer song-writer duoĀ Bella and the BearĀ andĀ Unkeepable whoĀ are new in our book but the Edinburgh based band have bagged over a thousand gigs in their three yearĀ existence. Single Pedestal was described asĀ “charming, honest and finely balanced in it’s raw emotion and heartfelt sentiment.’

It’s great to see Be Like Pablo on the bill, they have been gigging a lot less these days but did manage to reachĀ Glastonbury Emerging Talent longest earlier in the summer and have been busy recording a new video. Their brand of sunshine pop won’t go amiss at the Brewery.

Well known to the scene for their component partsĀ Dr. WookĀ & The Voltaic Disorder and This Machine will be making appearancesĀ at the festival. It’s also good to see the likes of Neon Knights, Sarah Williamson and Devil’s Queen make their Jocktoberfest debutĀ and a great example of the festival’s attempt to cater for all tastes.

The full line-up is;

Jamie & Shoony, Esperanza,Ā Medicine Men,Ā Mickey 9s,Ā Hoodja,Ā Be Like Pablo,Ā Other Humans,Ā Shaka Loves You,Ā Dixie Fried,Ā Bella and the Bear,Ā James Mackenzie,Ā Dr. WookĀ & The Volataic Disorder, This Machine,Ā Ā Irie Yo-Yo, Book Group,Ā Edgar Road, Dante,Ā Devil’s Queen,Ā Thula Borah,Ā Neon Knights,Ā Unkeepable,Ā The Cask, The Trad Band,Ā Amy Rayner,Ā Miracle Glass Company,Ā Penniless Moth,Ā Sarah WilliamsonĀ andĀ Butterscotch DJ set.
