Marco Mendoza Live In Concert

Marco Mendoza to play Mad Hatters, Inverness in May.

Hailing from the USA with a strong Mexican and Spanish heritage, Marco Mendoza has a wealth of both musical and life experiences under his belt.

After working his way through bands and session work in the 1980’s, his first big break came with former Black Sabbath drummer Bill Wards solo album. From there he started to create a portfolio of work with some of the best know rockers on the planet including Ted Nugent and John Sykes.

In 1994 he landed a role filling some big shoes when he took over the bass guitar role in the reformed Thin Lizzy whom he would perform with for the next 20 years. Throughout the next two decades he could be seen with Whitesnake, Dolores O’Riordan from the Cranberries, Neal Schon of Journey and most recently The Dead Daisies featuring other veterans of the rock world.

Having completed the recording of The Dead Daisies third album in February, he will be out with the band at various points throughout the year in support of the album as well as touring the UK and Europe with his solo project.

Although known as a rock player, Marco has a wide range of styles including Jazz and Funk, a fusion evident in his live shows. With a lead vocal performance as good as any front-man along with his undeniable charm, those who attend his solo live shows come away with an incredible musical experience.

Marco Mendoza plays Mad Hatters on 6th May.
