Loopallu 2016 have been teasing an uncharacteristic early announcement for it’s festival for a while now, and since it’s release on Facebook we are surprised that they have been able to keep it a secret for so long.
The first headliner to be announced is Feeder, whose hits including ‘Feeling a Moment’, ‘Just the way I’m Feeling’, ‘Buck Rogers’ and ‘High’. The band , who have played Belladrum and the Ironworks (read about there 2012 gig here) in the last few years, were recently announced to headline the Big Top Stage at Isle of Wight Festival in June so they will be no stranger to playing in the big tent of Loopallu.
Celebrating their 30th Anniversary, The Wonder Stuff the band are currently touring with The Wedding Present and Dodgy. Certainly not resting on their laurels , having an impressive back catalogue that includes ‘Welcome to the Cheap Seats’, ‘Size of a Cow’ and so may more, they have recently released album ’30 Goes Around The Sun’.
Having toured the area in spring and proving that her tunes are as catchy as her fans are passionate about her, Lucy Spraggan will be playing. It is perhaps unsurprising that she has been snapped up given the come and get me plea at her recent Ironworks gig.
Coventry based 2-Tone band The Selecter will be joined on the bill by Mànran who describe themselves as “one of the best-known and best-loved Scottish bands on the scene today”.
Last on the Facebook announcement are Mark Radcliffe’s Galleon Blast which features members of The Family Mahone, Full House and Mark Radcliffe and Foes.
