Solas 2016 announce first few acts
Imagine a smaller Belladrum with less swarming crowds, more families with kids, less drunk yoofs, more scattercushions and joss sticks, and an even more mellow vibe and you’ll find yourself in something akin to the SOLAS FESTIVAL.
Now in its seventh year, Solas Festival 2016 line-up includes Stanley Odd, Skerryvore and Mercury-Prize nominee Sam Lee, along with many more artists from folk, roots and world music. Yeah, it’s like a WOMAD with less dreadlocks and it’s in Perthshire, not Wiltshire.
Also appearing is local Highland chanteuse, Miss Irene Rose, whose otherworldly tones and spright melodies are always worth hearing. More acts to be announced soon.
