We spoke with Craig Charles in 2011 where he explained;
“I’m not that good a DJ, you know what I mean? But I’m quite a good selector! And that’s what’s more important. I select the music I’m gonna play, I’m not that good a mixer or a scratcher but it’s not about that. I’m not about matching beats, funk and soul isn’t like that. I get away with it: believe me the party never stops!”
Considered one of the biggest and friendliest live nights around, Craig Charles hosts the radio version of The Funk ‘n’ Soul Show on BBC Radio 6 since 2002. Charles has also built his reputation on acting with roles in Red Dwarf and Coronation Street being the most high profile.
