Beyond Presents announces Highland tour for This is the Kit.
High is described as the much beloved project of Kate Stables which evolves into various guises. Pitchfork’s Deusner said she “wears her eccentricities comfortably, whether she’s bending an old word into new shapes or displaying a curious sense of professional timing”.
“If This Is The Kit were a cake” the project’s website states “it would be a fully wholemeal and organic savoury affair which nonetheless satisfy’s all craving for trashy treats.”
With 6 Music’s Guy Garvey naming ‘Bashed Out’ as his album of the year, declaring “I just love the honesty and I love how she sings, she sings like a songbird.” The third album by This is The Kit was produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner and features a range of collaborators including Benjamin Lanz (Beirut) and Matt Barrick (The Walkmen).
She was has been selected to support The National, Sharon Van Etten, Iron & Wine and Jose Gonzales whilst she has headlined her own tour in November and appears at this years Celtic Connections.
This is the Kit plays Inverness as part of the Highland tour on the 1st of April.
