Free Range Folk Stage announce their line-up for Belladrum 2015.
The stage returns and continues to be curated in association with Glachbeg Croft. Following a similar pattern to last year the stage draws local acts together with emerging music from further afield and topping it off with a Celtic style headliner each night.
Bob Bull from Glachbeg Croft said “The stage goes from strength to strength with a great mix of local talent with a scattering from those from further away, allowing listeners and musicians to learn from each other”.
Showing that the Highlands has a great ability to cultivate singer/songwriters, the stage hosts a range of young acts including Alice Bentley, Connor Johnstone, Douglas Scott, Sarah Williamson, Josephine Sillars and Imogen Islay Hay.
Following on from last year when Music Plus was represented by Hannah Finlayson and Jacob and Rory Green, this year the organisation will be hosting Hollie Atkinson and Elgin’s Michiel Turner who will be opening the stage Friday and Saturday, respectively.
A little less young, but certainly other talented and local acts playing include Dr. Wook, Winnie (The Side), Robin Bell, James Mackenzie and an acoustic set from The Rites, who were last seen playing at Yule Gig.
Talent from a little further afield includes Findlay Napier, the precocious Declan Welsh who will be joined Natalie Clark and Alex Hynes on the bill.
Live band performances will be seen from the likes of Anton & The Colts, Talking Point, The Cask, The Hookliners, Something, Someone, Rising Souls, Trees Don’t Travel,Head North,Tweed and The Full Tilt Ceilidh Band.
