Three-piece, Alkanes play IG.LU in April.
The Aberdeen based Alkanes have Alt / Rock leanings quoting influences such as Arcane Roots, Biffy Clyro, Muse.
The band is fronted by Dale Sutherland who formerly played with the precociously talented Purple Divide although Dale is keen to emphasise that the project “a little heavier than Purple Divide” with “a particular focus on big dynamic riffs”.
In February the band had a change of personel with Donald Barclay taking over responsibilities on bass.
Despite this the band have earned support slots with Carnivores, Wicked Snakes and , most recently, Axis Of. They are hoping to build on the momentum with the hope of recording an EP in the summer.
The Alkanes play IG.LU on the 18th of April, 2015 with support from Daniel Gunn.
