Gaining an MBE for services to singing in 2006, Eddi Reader is announced as headliner for Friday night at the Black Isle Brewery Grassroots stage for Bella 2015. When she played Strathpeffer as part of amaSing 2013 she impressed both for her musical talent and the intimate and personal environment that she created on the night.

Two acts that are not far off the “ones to watch for 2015” lists in KLOË and Honey Blood also find themselves on the bill. The eighteen year old from Clydebank , KLOË , has seen her  debut single ‘Grip‘  which was released at the end of 2014, showered with praise. Honey Blood, aka  Stina Marie Claire Tweeddale and Cat Myers, are playing a sell out show as part of the NME Award shows in London. Their 9/10 rating by NME for the self-titled album was described by the NME as being “cooked up 40 minutes of sonic chemical castration and they’re coming for every lover and loser that’s ever fucked them over.”

A little bit closer to home and perhaps a little more serene, it would be difficult to see Scooty and the Skyhooks not finding a way to sneak onto the festival stage. This time they do so by playing on the main stage as part of the Thursday night entertainment, on the same bill as The Proclaimers.

Martin Stephenson & The Daintees; MacFloyd; Tantz; Torridon; Coco & The Butterfields; The New Madrids; Blackbeard’s Tea Party; Dizraeli & The Small Gods; Goat Roper Rodeo Band and Rusty Shackle.

Following a trend for comic book themes, as per Jocktober’s announcement earlier this year, Belladrum is also going for a super hero theme for 2015. So capes at the ready for festival season then.

Early bird tickets sold out in seven hours and every year tickets seem to run out faster and faster. Get your tickets soon, you have been warned.
