The “Psyche-pop riffs” of Stockport’s Blossoms play Inverness in February.
Manchester Evening News describe them as having a “Merseybeat-esque pop sensibility ” and as “a band clearly not lacking in imagination – the sort of imagination that might well restore your faith in guitar bands.”
Signed to Skeleton Key (home to The Coral) the band have supported the likes of The Rifles, The Charlatans, Starsailor and the Courteneers
Blossoms define themselves as ” Ethereal Nostalgic Sonance” which seems a bit of a mouthful. Checkout the likes of ‘You Pulled a Gun'(below) and debut single ‘Blow’ which was released in October.Next single,’Cut Me I’ll Bleed’ which has courted many plaudits from the likes of Penny Black Music, is released in March 2015.
The band comprises of Tom Ogden (vocals and guitar), Charlie Salt (bass & backing vocals), Josh Dewhurst (lead guitar), Joe Donovan (drums) & Myles Kellock (keys).
Blossoms play Hootananny on March the 28th. Tickets available on-line from Wednesday.
